Hi there I'm new, so please excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this. I have AutoCAD 2008 32bit, and I've just bought a new machine and installed Windows 7 64bit on it to test how it will perform. Obviously, I can't install AutoCAD otherwise I would not be here:-) Also, I am totally dependent on a 32bit 3rd party ARX application that was built specifically for my company and our setup so 64bit AutoCAD is not an option for me. It goes against my grain to use a 32bit OS for my lovely new expensive Intel i7 SSD 16GB RAM machine, so Windows 7 32bit I'd rather avoid. Also, I really wanted to avoind the VM route if possible.

So, I tried the option you mentioned this morning. And I have to say, wow that was easy - I'm totally up and running! I'll report back in a few weeks to let you all know how it's running, but so far it seems totally normal, everything is working fine. The one thing I have noticed is that it's unbelievably quick - I'm using an SSD drive, I timed it and AutoCAD 2008 starts in 3 seconds - it's ripping!! Again, thanks for your help.
